Twenty-three years ago, Gary Fish opened the Deschutes Brewery and Public House in downtown Bend, Central Oregon’s first microbrewery and brewpub. He hardly could have imagined at that time that craft brewing and craft beers would one day play an important role in Central Oregon’s economy and everyday life.
Fast forward to today. Bend as the epicenter of American craft brewing? While maybe not yet, Bend area breweries offer a wide variety of craft brews and brewpubs. “Bend Brews” gives a history of and insight into each local brewery, lists the type of beers each one produces and offers detailed contact information. Nicely illustrated with photos and dotted with beer facts, the 44-page, full-colored book also includes a Bend Ale Trail™ Passport and Bend Ale Trail™ map. A must-read for craft beer lovers everywhere.
With that in mind, get your copy of the book and start a tour of some wonderful establishments. You’ll meet some great people and enjoy some of the best in locally handcrafted beers you’ll find anywhere.
Enjoy your pub crawl, Bend, and Central Oregon.
Cheers,
